"Those with ADHD [are hypothesized to] have also small dopamine while in the prefrontal cortex — the rational considering, cognitive, planning portion of your brain — the element within your brain that tells the remainder of your Mind to quiet down," explained Catherine Franssen, assistant professor of biopsychology and director of neurostudies
